Living Your Dreams in a Foreign Country

Today I am writing a coaching article for www.PlayaMayaNews.com about living your dreams in a foreign country - for me, it is Mexico.

When I look back at our decision and what it took to make our dream happen - leaving friends and family, leaving our beautiful house, leaving the majority of stuff behind, leaving the known to go live in the unknown (and doing it with kids)..........I can see that if we were not clear in our choice it would have been very, very hard to pursue this dream.

We actually did all that and more because we were very clear on what our dream was and we knew in our heart of hearts we could make it work - that there was something special for us here.

Turns out our inner guidance guided us well. We didn't leave it all - we gained it all. The only thing that was important in Canada to us was our friends and family and we still have them (although many refuse to stay there and keep visiting us). Now we have even more friends in our lives and so many beautiful experiences. We live an adventure and have given our children an experience they would have not otherwise had.

I can even coach people on living this dream because I am living it. How cool is that?

My Dreams Were All Around Me.

This weekend I started a book that a friend gave me called: Professional Dreamer written by: Ghalil. I must share this quote:

I took six steps and turned around and found no road behind me.
I quickly turned and looked ahead and found no road before me.
I closed my eyes into a dream and found a world inside me.
And when I chose to look up again, my dreams were all around me.

Isn't that beautiful? Yes, I thought so too.

Immerse yourself in those dreams - live those dreams - they are the life we were meant to live!

When you are following your dream - your passion - you find that you can't wait to get out of bed in the morning because life becomes exciting, fresh and new. When is the last time you felt that? How would the world look if we all felt like life was exciting, fresh and new?

When you are following your dream - your passion - everything you need finds you. That is the Law of Attraction. Dare we say it? Life could become quite joyous.

"The Secret" is a secret no longer.

The movie "The Secret" was one of the catalysts for my becoming a life coach. The secret is all about how the "Law of Attraction" can work for each and every one of us - no matter who we are or where we come from. Now I just watched the recording on the internet ( My husband and I chose not to have T.V. in Mexico) of a show Oprah has done on it.

Let's face it, if Oprah does a show on something it is not much of a secret anymore! Nothing could thrill me more. I was watching members of the audience talk about how it changed their lives. I was listening to Michael Beckwith, Jack Canfield, Lisa Nichols, James Arthur Ray and Oprah talk on it and I am cheering and crying with joy for the difference the secret has made in peoples lives. Now that is reality T.V!

Is it Just a Daydream?

"Everything starts as somebody's daydream" - Larry Niven.

It's true Larry - Wonderful things and wonderful lives have been created from what started as nothing more than a daydream.

Don't stop daydreaming. In fact increase your daydreaming and imagine all the possibilities for your life - imagine yourself actually doing them - fulfilling them - what would your life look like? That's right it would be like heaven! Amazing.

So what stops you?

Maybe you should consider pursuing your daydream. Wonderful things could happen for you and your truly wonderful life could be created. Maybe spend a little time exploring this thought.

How Do You Live Your Dream?

That is a great question! Maybe you know your dream - so how do you go about following it? How do you go about living it?

One of the ways is to allow yourself to be immersed in the dream. See the dream - in full living color in your mind. Feel the dream - and how you would feel to be living it. Hear the dream - what is it saying to you? Become the dream - see it, hear it, feel it and you will begin to follow the inspired steps to live it. It looks good on you doesn't it? This is the beginning of "Law of Attraction" in action.
