Life or more specifically the enjoyment of life...

This is a guest blog post written by my visiting sister-in-law, Cynthia.
This is definitely a great concept to live by ….

What does it take to create enjoyment in life? I think that is different for every person.
I also think it's important that we use that word "create" to do exactly that –
Create the enjoyment in our lives - don't wait for it to come to us – we can create it ourselves!

It doesn't necessarily require material things. It can be whatever "floats your boat" as I am frequently saying. It doesn't need to be an expense dinner out, a trip somewhere or the buying of a new outfit. It can be something as simple as starting your morning listening to a song you love that warms your heart, as my sister-in-law Suzanne loves to do or it can be a quiet morning, just yourself and a cup of coffee with the sound of birds in the air and sunshine on your face which is my favorite way to start each day.

Whatever it is I would suggest that you ponder what gives you enjoyment in your life, and then find a way to create it, and enjoy it, each and every day.

Enjoy life

Life is relatively short and we really have no guarantees of what will happen in it or when. That is a good thought to ponder for a moment. Why? Because it gives us an opportunity to think about what is really important in for our life.

What is your life currently filled with? Dream makers or dream stealers?

It is important to enjoy life today and not always put off for one day in the future. Let’s enjoy every moment of every day as we plan for our future.

What are some of your dreams? Are you living some? Why not find a way to enjoy some more of them now? Why wait? What do we wait for? The timing may never be perfect until we make it so by doing it. Who wants to wake up one day and say – I wish I had?

Let’s enjoy the adventure of life by living one dream at a time.
What’s first on the list? Is it a giant Dagwood sandwich?
Sometimes life’s joys are so simple.

Enjoy the journey

I figure that the joy in life, the fun, and the excitement, is in the journey – not the destination. I think somebody famous said something about that. I mean really - when we get to the destination, we enjoy it for awhile and then we are usually asking ourselves - what’s next?

Let’s enjoy life all along the way – including all the glorious detours, all the sightseeing, and all the destinations.

May there be many things to enjoy on the way to your dreams.
May your 2008 be full of glorious adventures – that is if you choose to experience them!
