Who is still working on their dreams and goals for this year? I am. I keep adding to my dream folder and my dream notes. I am still coming up with new dreams. I am also clarifying or refining some of the things I have already chosen.
Even more fun is that I am writing down all kinds of inspirations that are popping into my head. Oh and they feel so fun to do! One is even to spend more time at the beach – can you believe I would have to consciously think of that one? Apparently I do. I am claiming all kinds of things for my life this year.
What is important to note is that our dreams are always clarifying and evolving and that is okay. We should roll with the changes, run with them, dance with them and as long as we are feeling good – even great – we will know we are on the right path to living every single one of our dreams.

Will 2009 be a great year?
What do you think 2009 will be like? Whatever you think it will be it will be exactly that way for you. Everyone else around you may experience the opposite, but you will get the year of your thoughts. You will be given the gift of exactly what you expect for this brand new year.
What are you expecting?
Would you like to add to a great expectation? Would you like to change a currently negative expectation? Where do you start?
Let’s start with our focus. What will you choose to focus on? Do you want to watch the news and read the paper and find out what everybody else predicts for this year or would you like to create your own reality?
We can create our own reality but the creation needs to start with us. We need to decide what we really, really want to have happen in our lives and then we need to focus on that. It is almost like putting blinders on (the kind the race horses wear). You may choose to no longer watch the news or read the paper because it no longer reflects the reality you choose to create for yourself. That may sound wild and extreme but is it? Every one of us gets to decide for ourselves. Others may say we are living in a dream world but let’s just see at the end of the year where everybody stands. I like my dreams how about you?
The point is if we can maintain our focus our mind will go to work finding the reasons we are right and creating for us the perfect environment that will make our great year a reality.
May your year be as great as you choose to make it.

Who can use life coaching?
Sometimes when I tell people I am a life coach they look at me in a kind of puzzled way. What is a life coach? I usually go on to explain that I help people find and then live their dreams. Then I ask them if they have a dream. That is when the really fun conversation starts.

How can I see this with new eyes?
Are you in a place where you can only see an obstacle or even several obstacles to your dream? Sometimes we can come to a place where we figure we have this huge obstacle and we don’t seem to see any way around it. We find ourselves in a place where we can only see one thing, one perspective – The obstacle! We are in effect stuck. Our dream now seems impossible.
Whoa! Stop those thoughts! We probably only need to find “new eyes“ to be able see our dream as a possibility again. So how do we get unstuck? How do we remove this obstacle? How can we change our perspective? How do we find “new eyes”?
Can we step back? Broaden our perspective? Ask someone else for help? Can we look at it any other way? Sometimes all we need is a little change in our perspective and that unmovable, seemingly unsolvable obstacle to our dream is easy to move or solve – sometimes it even disappears.
You can also try shaking your head, wild dancing and brushing your teeth with your opposite hand.

Seize today
How do we seize today? We seize today by deciding to make today the best day it can be. Hmm, ready?
Do we have some commitments today? We can choose to do those to the best of our ability in as fun a way as possible. Why? Because it will make us feel good.
Let’s also plan some free time. Every day needs some free time. What would give you joy to do? Do some of that. Let’s also share some kind words with everyone we meet, kiss someone we love and maybe hug a few people. What else would you add?
I am saving time after dinner for a double chocolate hot fudge brownie with a huge mound of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. I’ll share it with my husband; double the pleasure and half the calories. Go ahead and seize every day and make it the best ever! Now, how will I seize tomorrow?

Keep it light
Keeping it light helps bring our dreams to us faster. Holding tight, worrying and stressing only keeps our dreams at bay because we are saying we don’t believe they will come.
When we know what we choose for our life is assured it is easy to keep things light. We have no need to stress because we know everything we have chosen is on its way to us in perfect timing.

Choices are for us!
We have the ability to make choices for our life anytime we want.
We can also change these choices as often as we please.
What if someone asks us why we changed an original choice?
The answer would simply be “because I choose it.”
No other reason is necessary.
We never need to create distress or challenges for ourselves with our current situation to make a change. We can simply choose change. Life is much easier and less stressful that way.
Ah, the joy of the choice.

Finding the way to our dreams
There is always a way our dreams can be lived or we would not have been given the idea.
Can you see a little step? Don’t worry that it seems too small. Many small, easy steps often get us to our dreams faster than waiting for the big, big, maybe scary one.
It does not matter that maybe you cannot see all the steps. Try taking each little obvious one as it is presented and any more will show up. The little steps will lead you right to your dream.
Maybe you just can’t see all the way right now because it is partially hidden by the trees and bushes on the path. The good news is that the path magically starts to clear with each little step we take.
There is always a way to live our dreams.

Stand in your power
We are powerful because we can each create exactly the dreams and life we choose.
Sometimes power is misunderstood as force. Our true power is not shown in force but by our creation of exactly the life we choose.
When we live in our power, we can easily stand up for who we are and what we believe in.
I believe in each of us living our dreams. What do you believe in?
We can show our power quietly and gently, without force and our power becomes greater.
Others do not have to live or think the way we choose for us to live our dreams.

When we change, our world changes. Odd isn’t it?

Heart vs. Head
Listen to your heart or listen to your head?
Why take sides? Maybe we need both.

Dream lists
Let us list the ways to live our dreams.
We can actually list all the things that make us feel good.
Go ahead and list all the things that would make you happy.
Sometimes they are simple – sleep in one morning, visit friends, go to the beach …..
Sometimes they require a little more planning – a trip, a new car ……..
But at least now you are clear what to aim for.
Do a simple one today and plan another this week and before you know it, you will be getting pretty used to living those dreams and the bigger dreams will become easier to do.
You deserve to live your dreams. Start your list now.

the living is easy .....
Some people seem to think life has to be difficult – that we need to struggle from one thing to another and that anything we want to do must be hard. I don’t buy into that.
I think life can be easy. We just need to choose our focus. When we tell ourselves it will be easy it usually is. When we expect easy – it usually is. It is all in our thoughts.
Concentrate on what you love to do and all the good things that surround you. Expect easy and you will create easy.
Life can be easy or hard. It is always our choice. What do you choose to create?

That is a key to designing our perfect dream life.
No matter what is currently happening in our life, if we stick to thinking about the reality we have chosen, it won’t take long for all we are choosing to show up.
It is all a question of what we focus on. By looking for the signs our choices are arriving – we are choosing our focus! Everything but what we focus on gets left behind.
