What happens when we focus on what we love?
We feel good - We find even more to love – We attract good things to us.
Just like any other Law or Attraction exercise, we can start by focusing on the things we love and our list will grow and expand and encompass more because it is our focus. Before we know it, we will have found lots to love about our life.
Focusing on love for ourselves, and others, and the circumstances in our lives is a wonderful way to attract our dreams to us.

Will 2009 be a great year?
What do you think 2009 will be like? Whatever you think it will be it will be exactly that way for you. Everyone else around you may experience the opposite, but you will get the year of your thoughts. You will be given the gift of exactly what you expect for this brand new year.
What are you expecting?
Would you like to add to a great expectation? Would you like to change a currently negative expectation? Where do you start?
Let’s start with our focus. What will you choose to focus on? Do you want to watch the news and read the paper and find out what everybody else predicts for this year or would you like to create your own reality?
We can create our own reality but the creation needs to start with us. We need to decide what we really, really want to have happen in our lives and then we need to focus on that. It is almost like putting blinders on (the kind the race horses wear). You may choose to no longer watch the news or read the paper because it no longer reflects the reality you choose to create for yourself. That may sound wild and extreme but is it? Every one of us gets to decide for ourselves. Others may say we are living in a dream world but let’s just see at the end of the year where everybody stands. I like my dreams how about you?
The point is if we can maintain our focus our mind will go to work finding the reasons we are right and creating for us the perfect environment that will make our great year a reality.
May your year be as great as you choose to make it.

Being in the flow
Here is a fun visual: What if we pictured that we are floating down the river of life?
You can be in or on anything you like.
How does your river feel? Is it flowing too fast for you? Is it too calm? Are you moving? Is it too turbulent? Is it just gently flowing along? What do you see? What do you like best? How do you want your river to be and feel? What do you want to see along your journey?
Do you feel like you are at the whim of the river (or other people or forces in your life)? We can often feel that way, but that is not ever truly the case. We are really the ones that choose how we want our river to be and what we want our river to provide. We just need to be very clear in the vision of what we choose.
What if we find a log in our path (a limiting belief or a challenge)? How do we handle it? Should we sit there forever and stare at the log, get upset with it, yell at it, or just hope it goes away? Or do we call for some help (a life coach) to help us move it out of our way? Little choices like this help us stay in the flow of our perfect river and our perfect life.
I am just going to adjust the shade umbrella on my party boat and then I’ll be available to help you with yours if you like.

How to experience ease at Christmas
We can each have our perfect Christmas. All we need to do are the easy things like . . . visualize it, plan for it, and think about it. If we are inspired we can talk about and ask for exactly what we desire. Go ahead and choose what you desire for this Christmas. Then trust that all will be exactly as you asked for.
If you notice you are feeling stressed, harried, or in any way uneasy, take the time to pause, become quiet, and remember what your choice is. This simple act can usually turn everything around for us. We can just clarify what we choose moment by moment.
Don’t forget to give thanks for your perfect Christmas before, during and after.
May you experience everything at Christmas exactly as you desire it to be.

Can we be happy for another?
It is very important that we be happy for other’s successes. Why? Because if we cannot be happy for another’s successes we may chase away the very thing we desire. When we find other people with the very thing we desire and dream of we should celebrate because it means that what we want is definitely becoming a part of our reality.
If we cannot celebrate the fact that it is very close in our reality we are giving the Universe the signal that we don’t want this after all.
Celebrate everyone’s successes! It is fun, easy, makes us all feel good and encourages our dreams to arrive in our life.
To be happy for another is not only a good thing, it is imperative for living our dreams.

Throw away the to do lists
Is it just me or do “to do” lists just seem to never end? The more I crossed things off the more they seemed to grow. We can come near to finishing a list and in the morning it grows again. Then there is the stuff that I would keep putting to the side of my list because I didn’t really want to do it.
How about creating an inspired actions list instead? If we don’t want to do something we just deal with it immediately, delegate it immediately, or find a way out of it immediately. That would feel so much better don’t you think? Our list will now be full of the inspired actions that we do want to do.
What do we do with the old “to do” list? All together now . . . rip, crumple, ball and toss!

A Christmas list
The following are what I choose to give this Christmas and all year long. . . . . . .
I am giving love – by loving myself and then radiating that love to everyone I encounter.
I am giving respect – by respecting myself and my needs and not overextending myself this year.
I am giving peace – by creating an environment where I nurture myself and everyone who comes into it.
I am giving kindness – by first showing kindness to myself, then I can spread it to everyone I encounter.
I know my life is abundant so I will give plenty with great love because the Universe is so abundant that I always get back even more then I give so I will never run out.

Do something different day
Let’s make today a “be different day”.
Where can we find some new and interesting ideas?
In what ways can we think differently?
What will this do for us? It will cause us to think a little differently. That is good for living our dreams because one of those new thoughts could become a key to living one of our dreams. Wouldn’t that be just too easy and fun?
So what is something we could do that we have never done before?
What if we decided that we must do 3 things differently today? We could drive to work a different way … we could comb our hair with the opposite hand … we could pick up our glass with the opposite hand … we could visit a new place … we could eat dessert first (no, that won’t work for me, I do that all the time) … well you pick 3 fun and different for you things.
And don’t be surprised when a new and perfectly excellent idea for living one of your dreams pops into your head!

Party! Party! Party!
What if life was just a great big wonderful party? Maybe it could be. Let’s look at it . . .
What makes a great party? It usually consists of fun, friends, good food and drinks, great conversations, good music, and some form of entertainment.
Maybe we could fill our lives with all of those things all the time. It is all about what we desire to create and our focus. Even a day at the office can include friends, good conversations (at least on breaks), great music there and /or to and from. We can usually find ways to fit any or all of the above into our day in some way.
I hear a lot of dreams can be lived when life is treated like a great big wonderful party.

What is your question?
Are you wondering what decision you should make or what the next move in your life should be? As a life coach I help a lot of people with questions like this. The following is one of the methods I always suggest.
We’ll call it: How do you feel?
We can entertain each choice that we currently have in our head and see how each one feels. The one that feels the best wins. Sounds too simple doesn’t it? Well who said life had to be hard?
The point is - If it feels good, we can always find a way to make it work for us. If it doesn’t feel good, nothing will ever work. What if none of the options feels good? That means that we have not found the right answer or combination for us yet. You will know it when you find it because it will feel soooo good.
Feel good thoughts are an indication that we are on the path to our dreams. Our not feeling good thoughts are the ones taking us away from our dreams. See, we really do know all our own answers.
Our feelings can answer our questions. The question is - are we listening?

We’ll call it: How do you feel?
We can entertain each choice that we currently have in our head and see how each one feels. The one that feels the best wins. Sounds too simple doesn’t it? Well who said life had to be hard?

Enjoy your present
That could be a humorous play on words this time of year. What I am actually referring to is our present moment. Then again maybe they are the same thing because our present moment really could be the most beautiful present that we ever receive.
Wouldn’t we be sad if we found out we missed the best present ever because we were lost in the past or worried about the future? Let’s avoid that possibility by making it a priority to enjoy our present present.

Design your perfect Christmas
My suggestion is for you to decide what your picture perfect holiday season looks like, sounds like, smells like, and tastes like.
- Who do you want around you?
- What do you want to do?
- How do you want to feel?
Write it out, visualize it and talk about it if you like. Give yourself permission to make the decisions, choices and changes that you need to make in your life in order to create it.

Extend a hand
This time of year and all year long – where can you give?
Can you give a kind word? Can you give a hug? Can you give a friendly wave? Can you open a door for someone? Can you give a smile? Can you let someone in front of you in traffic? Can you offer your help? How many people could you extend a little courtesy to in your day?
Giving does not always have to be about money or bought presents. It does not even have to take a lot of thought – it is often acting on the first good thought that comes to mind. The fact is that whatever is given from the heart is appreciated most of all.
Giving like this can change a world. The goodwill spreads and before you know it is coming back to you in so many ways from so many directions you can’t keep track. The appropriate words here are thank you - thank you - thank you. Welcome to some of your dreams.

Is this a limitation?
That is a very good question to ask ourselves. How many ways do we limit ourselves in a day? Maybe we say - I can’t, couldn’t, shouldn’t, or must not . . . . What if we took away what could be self imposed limitations?
If we took away our own limitations, we could do anything we were inspired to. We could and we would. The next time we get a great inspiration and our thoughts become I can’t, or I couldn’t, or I shouldn’t . . . We can ask - is this a limitation I’ve imposed on myself? When it has no real legs or reasons in reality, it is indeed a self imposed limitation.
This is now a post-it on my mirror . . . This is a no limits day! When inspired I can and I will!

It is always best for us to concentrate on what we do want as opposed to what we do not want. We really have no need to utter no, no, no. Let’s instead focus on all around us that we do want. Yes! Yes! Yes!

Big, bold and beautiful
Yesterday I mentioned now is a good time to decide what you want in the New Year. Today we can start to clarify those dreams. Now the question becomes how big, bold and beautiful can you make your dreams?
Can you see yourself living your dream? Can you feel it, smell it, and taste it? Describe it. Revel in it. Enjoy it. You bring it into your life by picturing, describing, feeling and totally embracing all the big, bold and beautiful details.
Are you beginning to feel like you are living it? Are you beginning to feel like you are about to walk into those big, bold and beautiful dreams any moment now? What if that was all you had to do to live those delicious dreams? Maybe it is. Can you believe it? Wow! Those dreams really are big, bold and beautiful and you are going to love them!

Start early for a great New Year
Happy December! Are you ready to get a jump start on your dreams? December is a great time to make our plans and clarify our dreams for the New Year because then we arrive at the beginning of the New Year with our intentions and our plans already made and that will feel awesome!
In January everyone is starting their list of the things they want to change or accomplish and ours is already made and in process. How would you like to take that feeling of accomplishment into the New Year?
The following questions may help you clarify your New Year dreams: What do I choose to do? What do I choose to be? What do I choose to see? What do I choose to have? Where do I choose to go? What would I like to share? The idea is to open the world of our possibilities.
If we don’t decide the things, feelings and life we desire – we will be given things by default. These may not be the surprises we hoped for.
Also remember the ‘How’ is not for us to figure out. Our only job is to clarify our vision of the perfect year as much as possible. So now is the time to go wild!
