Ego and Spirit

How do you recognize if you have ego or spirit talking to you?

Ego says this is mine. Spirit would say this belongs to everyone.

Ego says I did that – Spirit would say we are all responsible.

Ego is very head oriented – Spirit is very heart oriented.

Ego can make us feel good or bad – spirit can only make us feel good.

Does it matter whether you are hearing from your ego or your spirit? Maybe it does and maybe it does not. It may depend on the situation. Both can be important in our lives.

With awareness we get to decide which we listen to. The question may be which feels better at the time?
